These sessions are provided for your personal and professional development, but keep in mind that when you register you are making a commitment to attend. If you are not sure that you can attend, wait to register until you have checked your calendar for conflicts. 04/12 LEAD: Lead Your Team : Lead Your Team is a program designed to develop the skills necessary to appropriately supervise at the University of Mississippi. This is a core course required within four months of assuming a supervisory or management position. Learn how to supervise professionally and accordingly within the University's policies and within state and federal laws. Contemporary leadership principles will be introduced. Attendance will be acknowledged during the participant's performance review process. Tardiness and absenteeism are discouraged. According to the SHRM 2019 culture report, The High Cost of a Toxic Workplace Culture: How Culture Impacts the Workforce - and the bottom line: 76% of employees say their manager sets the culture of their workplace 39% say their manager doesn?t know how to lead a team 40% say their manager fails to frequently engage in honest conversations about work topics Are you equipped for the responsibility of supervising and managing?
