Long-Term Disability

What would happen if you suddenly became disabled and couldn’t work? Would you and your family be able to meet your financial obligations? Would you be able to pay your bills? For many people the answer is NO. Long term disability insurance is designed to help protect you against a loss of income in the event you become disabled and are unable to work for an extended period of time.

Eligibility:

Benefit-eligible employees

Coverage:

There are 2 plan types to choose from: 90-day or 180-day plan. The plan type determines the length of time an employee is required to wait before receiving benefits.

Cost:

Cost varies by election

 

Subject to plan exclusions and limitations, a participant may be entitled to a percentage of monthly income for temporary, permanent, partial, or total disability.

The premium is based on the employee’s age and selected plan type.
