Long-Term Disability

Long term disability insurance is designed to help protect you against a loss of income in the event you become disabled and are unable to work for an extended period of time.

Eligibility:

Benefit-eligible employees

Coverage:

There are 2 plan types to choose from: 90-day or 180-day plan. The plan type determines the length of time an employee is required to wait before receiving benefits.

Cost:

Cost varies by election

 

Subject to plan exclusions and limitations, a participant may be entitled to a percentage of monthly income for temporary, permanent, partial, or total disability.

The premium is based on the employee’s age and selected plan type.
